2nd week of the global 'live' new system

The global 'live' has been driving everyone crazy for the past 2 weeks. In fact, we have been almost crazy even before the 'live' started. From the beginning of this year, we have running and doing lot of testings and demos over the new system. Its even more pressurized when the management set deadlines and quotas to meet. And finally, here we are..

Supposingly, new system should have been better than the old one we are using. Regret to say, its not friendly user but bringing more problems to us. The IT side really making our life very much 'easlier'! During the testings, we bring up all the errors which need to be rectify and improved. After many much of testings which they required us to do so, we start the real 'live' system.

1st day of new 'life', already problems here and there. Emails sending here and there to ask them to rectify the problems. All of these taken much of our time as we need to attach those errors files to them! One problem solved and there comes another one. Everyday experiencing repeated and new errors. Why is it so??? Doesn't all those repeated errors should have been solved long time ago? And its really giving us headaches... I can hear my dept and the rest of them complanining about this system. Especially my dept, cos we are are the front line-Customer Service. Liase alot with customers, agents, sales, other vessels operators etc.

Time is really not enough to get all the things done in 1 day while struggling with the old and new system. Imagine, we have to input all the rates to new system, save data at both old and new system, answering those weird and silly calls, doing alots of checking of docs, clearing and replying alots of emails everyday, etc.. etc..

By end of each day, tired, stressed and drained out... And my temper and mood hasn't been good either. Don't even have the energy to do any 'ECA'. Just simply want to go home fast, eat and sleep. I felt asleep almost everyday after dinner... and wake up to have shower after that.. too tired. Having nightmares too.. phobia of going to work.. gosh, this is not a good thing.. Bad.

Nevertheless, I tell myself to look at the bright side. Eventually, things will get better. But, will I be able to hang on till then? I hope so... bless me.
